Frequently Asked
Questions
Who is Lead Now for?
Anyone who is a high school or college age New Yorker, and interested in Christian faith and leadership. That’s it.
What if I’m in Long Island or New Jersey?
It’s all family. Come on.
How often does Lead Now meet?
Four times each year.
Where does Lead Now take place?
Our next gathering is at 55 Broadway in lower Manhattan on Saturday, November 8 at 2pm.
What’s the format of each gathering?
We want to offer emerging young leaders both skill coaching and community development with peers. So each gathering will include some content taught “from the front” and also significant time for discussion, connection and demonstration.
How is content chosen?
Every gathering will focus on one critical skill for leaders (e.g., character, communication, emotional health, team building, conflict resolution, vision…and many more).
Who will be leading?
A variety of male and female leaders from a variety of churches, so our content stays fresh and on target.
Can church leaders and/or parents attend?
For sure. We want every attender of Lead Now to have a stronger relationship with their church and family because of it. However, we ask that each participant be in a discussion group comprised only of their peers, so this night can be a space for them to build community and connection. (And if we have enough parents and leaders to make their own discussion group, even better.)
Is Lead Now free?
Yep, zero dollars.
Is food provided?
We’ll have plenty of snacks and drinks for the afternoon, but plan on grabbing your own lunch before and dinner after.
Do I need to RSVP?
Yes please! That helps us know how many snacks to buy, chairs to set out…and such.
What happens between gatherings?
In our WhatsApp, we’ll offer resources about past and future leadership topics that participants can engage in between gatherings, and stay informed about the next event date.
Who is behind Lead Now?
Lead Now is led by Send Network churches across New York City, and is generously supported by many other churches.
